Test Scores
No Child Left Behind (NCLB) guidelines state that 100% of the students in the country need to be proficient in reading and math by 2014. NCLB also provides guidelines for Annual Yearly Progress (AYP) as a school makes steps in its path toward 100% student proficiency. Minnesota uses the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment-II (MCA-II) examinations to determine the state’s compliance with NCLB federal law. In addition, and just as important, the MCA-II tests are used to determine how students perform in accordance with the state’s academic standards.
The following is St. Croix Prep’s historical performance on these assessments (as compared to Minnesota state averages).

Notes: • St. Croix Prep has maintained its philosophical emphasis of aligning its classroom instruction with its curriculum and not focusing any classroom instruction on standardized test preparation. • St. Croix Prep’s proficiency percentages are for the entire school (K-10). Media presentation of statewide results often break out scores by a district’s elementary (K-5; K-6), middle school/junior high (6-8; 6-9), and high schools (9-12; 10-12).
