Today is MARATHON DAY and a Spirit Wear Day!

Join us for Marathon Day and cheer on our runners! Stop by the Volunteer Check In table if you have any questions and plan to stop by the Prep Parent Group's Hospitality Tent for light refreshments.

• Opening Ceremonies will begin at 1:30 pm in Prep Stadium.
• Running will start at approximately 1:40 pm.

IMPORTANT: We respectfully request that parents do not request early pick up of their student(s) after the Marathon is over. Students should stay for the remainder of the day and will be released from school at the normal dismissal time. Thank you for your cooperation.

Parking

If the parking lots are full, you can park perpendicular in the grass along the side of the road. Please do not park on Discovery Trail.

What to Wear on Marathon Day

Students can wear their Marathon t-shirt or any St. Croix Prep issued spirit wear apparel.

• Wear comfortable running apparel and running shoes! *Sweatshirts, sweatpants and jeans are allowed.

*All attire must adhere to St. Croix Prep dress code modesty guidelines.

Registration Open for Jazz Band II for Grades 6-12

Registration for Jazz Band II is now open. The ensemble welcomes students on any instrument in grade 6 and up. Jazz II meets weekly on Thursday mornings from 7:40 to 8:25 beginning on November 12 and ending on April 15. Register on Bound. Contact Mr. DeCaro if you have questions about Jazz II.

You're Invited to the Parent Classical Education Conference on Wednesday, October 14

Please join us for the 10th Annual Classical Education Parent Night on Wednesday, October 14. This year’s theme is Captivating Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness: at Home & Beyond. Parent Night will be at the DoubleTree by Hilton Minneapolis Airport. Social hour begins at 6:00 pm and the presentation starts at 6:30 pm. Click here to learn more.

Unity Day on Wednesday, October 21 – Wear an Orange Top With Uniform Bottoms or Blue/Black Jeans

Families – we could all use a little kindness so we are promoting Unity Day at Prep on Wednesday October 21 (the day we return from MEA break). If students would like to show Kindness and support Unity Day, they may wear an orange top along with uniform bottoms or blue/ black jeans. If students are not in an orange top, they should be wearing their school uniform.

The Comprehensive Achievement and Civic Readiness (CACR) Will Be Presented at the October 27 School Board Meeting

The Comprehensive Achievement and Civic Readiness (CACR) report will be presented at the school board meeting on Tuesday, October 27.

School Board Special Election on Monday, December 7 through Tuesday, December 8, 2026 – Board Nominations Now Available

St. Croix Prep will hold a special board election on Monday, December 7 through Tuesday, December 8, 2026. Vacancies in the election include one community member – 2.5 year term (community seat filled by Heidi Johnson).

Board nomination forms must be completed and turned in by Thursday, October 22. Click here for a board nomination form.

If you have any questions regarding busing, please go to the Stillwater Transportation website for answers to common questions and instructions for how to reach out to their team with any concerns.

How to Donate to Your Student's Fundraising Page

• Click here to get to the Marathon website – students who raise $85 by October 2 will receive a Marathon t-shirt to wear on Marathon Day!
• In the search bar on the upper right hand side of the screen, type in your student's name. This will take you directly to your student's fundraising page.
• Choose the donation amount.*
• Fill out the remaining donation information, including credit card information.

If you have more than one student, you will have to complete each step again to make a donation to another student. Once you've donated to one student's page, click the Marathon icon in the upper left corner to start again.

*if you search by grade, then student, clear cache/cookies first; otherwise the screen will exit out of your student's fundraising page.

Winter Athletics and Activities Registration on Bound

Winter athletics and activities are just around the corner! Please complete your student’s registration and payment through Bound before their activity begins.

Winter Start Dates

• Dance: October 26
• Girls Hockey: November 2
• Alpine Ski: November 9
• Boys Hockey: November 16
• Girls Basketball: November 16
• Boys Basketball: November 23
• Archery: December 7

Please register and pay through Bound before your student’s activity begins.

Student Physicals

Please note that parents/guardians are responsible for uploading their student’s sports physical directly to the Bound platform if a physical is required for the MSHSL activity.

All students in grades 7–12 must have a current sports physical on file before participating in any practice or tryout.

A current sports physical form is available to download here. Please use the 2026–27 MSHSL Sports Physical Form, located under the Resources section.

Once the form has been completed and signed by a medical provider, the physical is valid for three years from the date of the examination.

Sports physicals can be completed by your student’s primary care provider or at a walk-in clinic, such as a MinuteClinic.

The Branding Wearhouse will be delivering spirit wear orders on Mondays at the end of the day (instead of Fridays), with pickup available by the end of day on Tuesdays. Orders placed by noon on Thursday will be available after the following week. If you indicate your student's name on your order, it will be sent home with your student.
