Prep Senior, Cadence Cordell, had three photographs in the Missouri State University's Virtual Juried Exhibition for High School Art and Design. There were 728 works submitted from students across 10 states only 321 pieces were accepted for the exhibition and Cadence took Second Place, earning a scholarship of $3,000 as recognition for outstanding work. She also received a Merit Award for a second photograph and a third photograph was also accepted into the exhibition. Congratulations, Cadence!

Service Club Book Drive – September 14-30

Service Club is having its first-ever Book Drive September 14-30th!! This book drive is to support the Jeremiah Project, a national nonprofit organization that helps single mothers and their children to break the cycle of poverty.

We are looking for new or gently used elementary-aged books and youth chapter books. Drop off your books every Wednesday and Friday morning from 8:00 to 8:30. Service Club leaders will be ready to pick up your books at the parent drop-off lane. There will also be donation boxes in the Atrium and in the Upper School office.

We are hoping to get 200 books donated! We can’t wait to see how much our school can come together as a community. Thank you from Service Club!

Help Build the Prep School Garden!

St. Croix Prep has received an AGRI Urban Agriculture Grant from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture to expand the school garden with new raised beds, fencing, and irrigation.

A Garden Build Crew is being assembled! Prep community members with carpentry, construction, landscaping, gardening, DIY skills — or simply a willingness to help — are invited to participate.

Math Lab for Middle and Upper School Students on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

Need a little extra help with math? Math Lab is available for Middle and Upper School students who need homework help or have math questions. Stop by Room 233 after school until 3:55 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Whether you’re stuck on a homework problem or looking to better understand a concept, we’re here to help!

Busing Questions

If you have any questions regarding busing, please go to the Stillwater Transportation website for answers to common questions and instructions for how to reach out to their team with any concerns.

The Branding Wearhouse Spirit Wear Deliveries

The Branding Wearhouse will be delivering spirit wear orders on Mondays at the end of the day (instead of Fridays), with pickup available by the end of day on Tuesdays. Orders placed by noon on Thursday will be available after the following week.

We’re excited to announce the kickoff of our annual Marathon fundraiser! As one of our most significant fundraising events of the year, the Marathon plays a vital role in supporting and enhancing the educational experience for all our students. Your participation and support are key to its success!

How to Donate to Your Student's Fundraising Page

• Click here to get to the Marathon website – students who raise $85 by October 2 will receive a Marathon t-shirt to wear on Marathon Day!
• In the search bar on the upper right hand side of the screen, type in your student's name. This will take you directly to your student's fundraising page.
• Choose the donation amount.
• Fill out the remaining donation information, including credit card information.

If you have more than one student, you will have to complete each step again to make a donation to another student. Once you've donated to one student's page, click the Marathon icon in the upper left corner to start again.

As of September 1, we have a new menu site through Taher, our new food service provider. Taher uses the app Food4Life for menus and allergen information. Download Food4Life from the app store and create an account to find school menu information.

Boys and Girls Hockey Co-op Introduction – Informational Meeting on Wednesday, September 23 at 4:00 pm

We are excited to announce a new boys and girls hockey co-op between South St. Paul, New Life Academy, and our hockey community. This partnership brings together student-athletes, coaches, and resources to provide expanded opportunities for participation, skill development, and competition.

There will be an informational meeting for all boys and girls in grades 7–12 who are interested in playing hockey this winter on Wednesday, September 23, at 4:00 p.m. More information about the co-op, season, and expectations will be shared at the meeting.

We look forward to building a strong program and providing a positive hockey experience for athletes and families across all three communities.

Boys traveling basketball tryouts will be held on Saturday, September 26. The schedule for tryouts is the following:

• 4th Grade – 12:00-1:00pm
• 5th Grade – 1:00-2:00pm
• 6th Grade – 2:00-3:00pm
• 7th Grade – 3:00-4:00pm
